Jacob Johnstone

Associate Attorney

Jacob Johnstone is an Associate Attorney at Plumtree & Brunner, LLP. 

Jacob comes from a family deeply rooted in the construction industry. For nearly two decades, his family has owned and operated a construction company providing general contracting services throughout Southern California. From an early age, Jacob spent much of his free time on construction sites alongside his father, gaining firsthand experience in the industry and developing a strong work ethic through hands-on labor and project involvement. Over the years, he assisted with a wide range of projects, including ground-up residential construction, commercial kitchens, and light manufacturing facilities. 

After graduating from law school, Jacob developed a strong interest in the legal and business aspects of the construction industry. Through his experience working within his family’s business, he witnessed firsthand the unique challenges contractors and construction companies regularly encounter. At Plumtree & Brunner LLP, Jacob applies his practical construction background and legal training to help contractors navigate disputes, manage risk, and find effective solutions to the complex issues facing the construction industry. 

Outside of his legal practice, Jacob enjoys fishing, horseback riding, and leathercraft.
