Ailyn

Ailyn Barrientos is a Paralegal at Plumtree & Brunner LLP.
Ailyn brings a unique and diverse professional background to the firm, with experience spanning both healthcare and education before transitioning into the legal field. Prior to beginning her legal career, Ailyn worked extensively in the dialysis and healthcare industry while also serving as a college instructor at National Polytechnic College, where she taught anatomy, renal physiology, kidney disease, and dialysis studies. Her experience in healthcare and teaching helped develop the strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills she now applies in the legal profession.

For Ailyn, pursuing a career in law was more than simply a professional transition, it was the realization of a lifelong goal. Having long envisioned herself working in the legal profession, and at one point considering a future in politics, she ultimately embraced the opportunity to pursue her ambitions with full commitment and determination. Joining Plumtree & Brunner LLP before completing her paralegal studies reinforced her belief that she had found the career path she was meant to follow.

Ailyn values the opportunity to be part of a team that advocates for clients and works toward fair and practical resolutions. She particularly enjoys working in construction law because of the direct and meaningful impact these matters can have on individuals, businesses, homes, and livelihoods. She appreciates the complexity of construction-related disputes and takes pride in contributing to matters that require both attention to detail and thoughtful problem solving.
Known for her grounded and purpose-driven approach, Ailyn brings professionalism, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility to her work. Her diverse professional experiences allow her to approach challenges with empathy, adaptability, and a strong commitment to helping clients navigate difficult situations effectively.

Outside of work, Ailyn enjoys reading and listening to audiobooks, often accompanied by a good cup of coffee. While she enjoys fantasy and romance novels, she also has a deep interest in history and religion, which she frequently explores through books and documentaries. Music has remained a lifelong passion for her as well. Singing was her first love, and at one point she pursued it competitively and professionally. She continues to sing in her free time as a way to stay connected to that important part of her life. And, of course, Ailyn loves spending time with her beloved Golden Retriever, Daisy and feisty Corgi puppy, Bun Bun.

Ailyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of Fatima University, completed her Nephrology Clinical Technician training at Stanbridge University, and later earned her Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from Fremont University.
